FO Luck of the Irish Blanket

Before Wyatt was born, I was asked to make a baby blanket for a woman who works with my dad (Ray). She only had two stipulations for this blanket; it be knit in green and white and it have shamrocks on it. This is the type of order I like to get. I am able to put my own artistic flair into it as best as possible.

I met up with her and my dad in order to give her the blanket. Let me tell you, I am always nervous that someone will hate what I have made for them. It's a scary thought to think that something that took a lot of your time was not liked. When I showed her the blanket, she proved to be one of the people I love to knit for. She LOVED it. She was so appreciative and her reception of the blanket was so reassuring that I was able to giver her exactly what she wanted.

Fall Fun!

We are a fall loving family. I mean who doesn't love the fall?! There's warm sweaters (a knitter's best friend), beautiful leaves changing colors, and pumpkin flavored everything. One of my favorite things about fall is pumpkin chai tea latte's from Biggby and pumpkin spice donuts. YUM! The best place to get pumpkin donuts is from Robinette's Apple Haus. We have already been there twice this year!

The first time we went with Adam's side of the family. Allyson and Shane were in town in September so we decided that Shane (who was a Robinette's virgin) needed to take a trip there.

WIP Floral Blanket the Sequel

This flower blanket is FINALLY underway. After figuring out the right colors, progress is being made. I have calculated that I need to make at least 12 flowers a day in order to get this done on time. However, I am ahead of schedule. That's a first for me!!

Anyway, the colors that were decided on are all Knit Picks' colors. I am using Cotton Candy, Lady Slipper, and Fairy Tale in Brave Sport, Blush in Brava Worsted, Lady Slipper in Comfy Worsted, and Blush in Shine Worsted. I also am using Loops and Thread in white for the centers of the flowers.

FO Baby Elephant Blanket

I have bought so much fabric over the summer. I am in love with flannel material and they have so many cute prints available. I was in Joann's Fabric one day and spotted the most adorable fabric.

Of course what drew me in was the elephants. I am OBSESSED with elephant prints. Both Nolan and Ryenn had elephants in their nurseries.

Wyatt is 1 Month

Although this is a little late, it has already been one month since Wyatt was born. It seems like both yesterday and so long ago that he was born. I feel like it can't have already been a month since his birth. Yet at the same time, I feel like he has been apart of our family forever. I can't imagine our lives without him.

The transition into having three children and being a family of five has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I am back to my normal self of needing next to no sleep thankfully. Wyatt is pretty much on a schedule for nursing. This schedule includes having his days and nights somewhat mixed up. He is usually lively somewhere between midnight and 3. So my sleep begins after that. Then I get up with Nolan between 8 and 9.
