Easter Weekend Celebration

Most people celebrate Easter on Sunday, and only Sunday. However, with having two different halves of the family to celebrate with, we make it a weekend. We started out on Saturday heading to my mother-in-laws. She made the traditional Easter dinner with Ham and all the trimmings for us, my brother-in-law, and grandma. She got the kids a few treats and toys to celebrate the day. She got Nolan a new puzzle, Ryenn a new baby doll, and coloring books for the two of them.

We celebrated the Easter bunny visiting on Sunday morning. The Easter bunny is a fantastic giver every year to our kids. He spoils them too much!

Happy Early Birthday Beebs!

Adam and I have been wanting to get the kids a play set since last summer. We just couldn't find one that seemed like a good fit for toddlers and that seemed like a good quality. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that Ryenn was still too little to really climb last year so almost all of them seemed a waste of money.

Most and Least Favorite Thing about Parenthood

What’s my most and least favorite thing about parenthood? So many things ran through my head as I was trying to pinpoint the things I love most and least about parenthood. I knew that this was going to be apart of the 30 things my kids should know about me list before I ever even read it in its entirety. Let's start with the negative.

My least favorite thing about parenthood would have to be dealing with babysitting/daycare. I am very picky about who I leave my kids with and am dreading the day I ever have to find a daycare for my kids. While I know that there are numerous daycares that are great with kids, I worry about leaving them with someone other than me. I have chosen to be a stay-at-home mom for numerous reasons, but one of them was daycare. I don't like to go out much because of the simple fact that I would be home with them than have someone else watch them. I could never forgive myself if something happened to any of my kids while under someone else's watch. I would always think that if I were there, that something never would have happened.

Ryenn's 1st Birthday Party

Although we are celebrating early for Ryenn's birthday, it's still hard to comprehend that I have had two kids for a year now! She was due July 18 but decided she didn't want to wait a whole year to see the fireworks. She instead decided to show her chubby cheeks on July 3rd. She was 9lbs 1oz even after being 15 days early! She was beautiful!

We invited her friends and our family to help us celebrate this milestone birthday! I found a cake at Family Fare that was the inspiration for her birthday theme. I made her invitations and decorations to somewhat match the cake. It was so fun! Everything was purple and pink and very princess-like. I will go into detail this week about all the homemade goodies! WARNING: Many pictures follow!!!

Lost in a Sea of Homework

I haven't been keeping up on blog posts, but I swear for good reason. I did finish up and make progress on some knits, which I will share this week. For now I am just going to explain college classes while having 2 kids.

It's amazingly difficult to find the time to do the mountains of homework that are due on a daily basis with kids that aren't able to care for themselves. I've also added a third little one to the picture part time who turned 1 in October. So that's 2 running around and 1 crawling everywhere.

I've managed to get everything done on time and with great success which is a huge surprise to me. I have written 6 ( and that's not an exaggerated figure) research papers for one class and its only the third week. I also finished one of my classes this past Wednesday after 3 weeks (it was an accelerated course) and aced the final exam! I realized this past week that around June-ish of 2013 I will finally have my Bachelors in Criminal Justice.

I haven't missed out on the good things in life though by burying my head in the books. Ryenn just turned 8 months and she is doing so much. She is crawling and has said momma. She also started waving today! And Nolan is starting to communicate what it is he wants; food, drink, down, up, which movie he wants, etc. They both are getting so big so fast.

My husband and I just celebrated our second wedding anniversary on the 5th of March. Adam is by far the greatest man I have ever met (though trust me, I've known some real doozies). He has been so helpful and supportive with my schooling. He even got me a brand new laptop with a bit of our tax refund. I couldn't ask for a greater husband and friend to be by my side in life.

I'll also be sharing some big news later this week. Any guesses to what it could be? I won't be sharing until later this week, but would love to hear guesses.
