Yesterday was the last day of the 7 day detox diet that I was on. I was surprised by how much easier things got toward the end of this diet. I did "cheat" a little yesterday but not that terribly. I had a baked potato (a no no) and Zatarain's black beans and rice instead of just brown rice (another no no).
I was able to lose quite a bit this past week and I am very happy about that. I am actually having a cheat day today and getting right back into it. Anyway, what you're most wondering about, I'm sure, is the final numbers. This morning I weighed in at 185.6 lbs. That's a loss of 10.1 lbs! I will say that I was hoping for a little bit more, but you can't expect too much when you aren't working out at all.

Weight Loss Progress
I gave up on the 17 Day Diet. It worked so well for me for the first 3 months. Then I hit a plateau. So I gave up on it months ago. Every time I tried to get back on it, I couldn't stick to strict enough so it didn't work. And again I was late. 11 days late! And I am having nausea. As of right now all tests are negative, but I have been told that my hormone levels might not be high enough yet to register. So this has amped my weight loss up a bit because I want to be at a certain weight before I get pregnant next.
However, on Pinterest recently (something I seem to say a lot) I found a detox diet plan that will help stop cravings called the GM Diet. This is something that appealed to me because I have been craving different things here and there lately. Especially Peanut Butter Sandwiches and cereal. These two things have been my weakness.

17 Day Diet Helper and Progress
With my weigh in this morning, I was somewhat discouraged. I started working out (well half way through the week I decided to). I also knew that I would have plateau for a minute, which it seems I have, because I ate pasta and ice cream on Thursday for Adam's grandma's birthday.

Weight Loss Progress
I haven't been posting on my weight loss because I kind of had a food relapse. Don't worry, at the moment I weigh less that my last weight post, but that's thanks to the past week of dieting. I gave up on dieting for a while because I was stressed with school, family issues, and the possibility of being pregnant. This last one was the worst of them all. I was 10, count them 10 DAYS late!

Weight Loss Progress
I have still been sick. This has greatly effected my ability to lose weight, seeing as I have been eating crackers and soup and bread (everything not included in my diet). I also skipped a night of sleep in order to read an entire book (more on that later)! However, rather than sit here and fill the page with excuses, I decided instead to talk about the road ahead. This morning I weighed in and was more than happy to see a loss this morning. I currently weigh 186.9lbs. I am hoping that this coming week working out will become plausible (that is if I can breath through my nose and my coughing stops). I am also posting inspirational quotes and goals around the house fo rmyself (my mirror, closet, fridge, and pantry). That way I will have the constant reminder of what I am trying to achieve here.

Weight Loss Progress
The past week has been brutal. I spent the week finishing products for a new location in which you can find Adaly Myles Place (more to come on this). I also had to finish the plans for Ryenn's birthday party and then put everything together. This past week I also started the summer quarter of school (12 credits should be better than the 16 I took last quarter). Lastly, I have been sick. Nonetheless, I wasn't surprised to see my weight look like it was on a rollercoaster this week. When I weighed in on Monday morning, I ended up gaining 3.4lbs due to baking on Friday (had to sample EVERYTHING), the party on Saturday (of course I had to have cake and icecream and other carbs), and then helping the hubby polish off the leftovers from the party (mostly I took charge of the icecream). I was a little discouraged, but to be honest, I haven't been following the diet to the letter since I started. I have been eating extra fruit portions and have had some cheese that isn't allowed. However, after my sort of binge weekend, Monday I decided to ignore the things in my kitchen that seem to scream to me when I'm looking to eat (leftover cake, peanut butter sandwhiches, cereal, etc.). Instead, I keep cutting up cucumbers, eating salads, and protein fruit smoothies. I also have been drinking a ton of water and green tea, like I am supposed to. I haven't been working out due to my lack of energy (seriously can barely keep my eyes open) and my really scratchy throat (I start coughing just by cleaning my house). I was happy when I weighed in this morning to see that I at least lost some of the gained weight. I weighed in at 189.8lbs . Not where I had hoped to be at this point in the summer, but hey, its better than where I was in the beginning of the summer.

Weight Loss Progress
I weighed in a week from today and was unhappy with the number that showed up. I reached my max since my major weight loss; 196.7lbs!!! I was very upset to say the least. I started following the 17 day diet again. I couldn't get back on it. So far I have had 2 days of sticking to it completely (which happened to be Monday and Tuesday). However, my weight has dropped! I am very happy about that. I have yet to work out due to the busyness of my schedule. My goal is weigh 155-160 before October 1st. This will be the 1 year mark of my initial weightloss. I weighed in this morning and saw a glimmer of hope! My current weight is 190.5. That's a loss of 6.2lbs in 7 short days!
Tip this week: Start everyday with an 8oz glass of hot lemon juice within 30 minutes of waking up to get digestive juices flowing correctly. That 30 minute mark is crucial!

Weight Loss Goals
This past October I made a vow to lose 20 pounds. This quickly changed, seeing as I reached 18 pounds lost in 17 short days after following the 17 day diet (which is what I continue to follow through the different phases) and NO exercise. I decided then that maybe 30 pounds would be good. Once I reached 30 pounds lost after about a month of trying to lose weight, 40 pounds sounded better. I reached a loss of 40 pounds after just 3 months. I am now aiming for me to weigh between 155 to 160 pounds. I found pictures of me at my heaviest on my laptop today and was shocked. I know that I have lost a lot of weight in the last few years, but I wasn't really noticing it.
In the beginning of 2009, I weighed in at a staggering 250 pounds. I never felt like I weighed that much, but when I would step on the scale and see that number, I knew it was the truth. I was an emotional eater and for years was in a terrible position in my life. I had given up on myself. Everything I had wanted for myself was pushed to the back burner, including my appearance. I have never been a skinny girl, even when I was working out like a dog in high school. I graduated high school weighing 198 pounds. This seemed like a lot at that time but I was in great shape. I was super muscular because of cheerleading and volleyball.
Nevertheless, I lost about 30 pounds without really dieting. When I met my husband, I was a lot happier and stopped eating emotionally. My weight dropped pretty fast just by having a much better support system surrounding me. My life was completely changed in April of 2009 when I met him. I began worrying more about myself. When him and I moved in together, I even began working out a bit with my mother-in-law. This stopped due to me constantly not having energy (I was pregnant and didn't know). Right before I got pregnant with our son, our first child, I weighed 205 pounds. I gained 25 pounds in my pregnancy with him, but lost about 35 pounds right after giving birth to him.
I then became pregnant again with our daughter a short 3 months later. I put on more weight with her, about 35 pounds. I lost about 25 of it after giving birth to her.
However, when we decided for me not to return to work, eating like crap became fairly easy for me. With taking care of two infants, time was not always available for me to prepare food. On October 1st, I weighed 219.5 pounds. That was the day the 17 day diet began.
I have lost 45 pounds since October 1st, with my weight fluctuating a bit between 179 and 190. The diet itself has gotten me as far as its going to without help from exercising. I tried just exercising without dieting as well. Both just maintained my weight. I am now going to try both of these at the same time to help me shed those last 20-25 pounds I want to lose. With my kids getting older, making meals is becoming easier and a necessity. I also want to lose this weight before getting pregnant with our next baby (which I am already itching to do, Adam not so much). I am where I am supposed to be weight wise for all 5'11.75" of me (I refuse to say I and 6'0" tall), but I would like to lose the last bit of weight for my own vanity. I will continue to keep you updated on my progress once a week, starting with today. If you want to follow along with me, pick up a copy of the 17 Day Diet and sign in to skinnyms.com (where I do all the summer challenges for exercise).
