Topping these Boots

As I said before, I am swamped with orders. This is such a great feeling, being so busy. This week I worked on an order from a friend I graduated with. Jayne and I played volleyball together FOREVER! She was my setter and I her middle blocker. When she asked me if I could make her some boot toppers, I was more than willing to fit her into my schedule. I had her pick the color she wanted from Knit Picks and she decided on Dove Heather in Knit Picks Brava Worsted Weight.
I followed a super simple pattern (Easy Boot Topper 103). I adjusted it slightly seeing as I was knitting this with a worsted weight yarn instead of a super bulky weight yarn and size 10.5 needles instead of 11s. This pattern was essentially 10 inches of ribbed stitch. This was a super fast knit!. Jayne picked them up today and LOVED them. I was glad that I got them done in time for her to get them before she left to Idaho for vacation.

  1. I have a question regarding the boot toppers. I absolutely Love the look of them, and this may be a dumb question, but is it a insert for your boots or socks?

  2. It is just and insert, and totally not a dumb question. The toppers allow you to get the look of socks without the bulk of it in your boot.
