As I have said before, I may be the biggest procrastinator you will ever meet. It keeps getting worse. I think in my subconscious I am seeing just how long I can put things off. However, I do work much better under pressure. Usually pressure from the clock.

All of us last year at the Sculpture Garden in Minneapolis |
Wednesday we leave for our family vacation to Minnesota. We are going to the Mall of America and the Minnesota State Fair. We are fortunate enough that
Allyson and her boyfriend, PT, live there. PT's mom, Martha, also lives there. When my mother-in-law, Nolan and I went last year, we stayed with Allyson and PT. Well Martha told us the next time we come to stay at her house because she has plenty of room, which we thought was super nice.

Blanket! |
When we initially started planning, we were looking for hotel rooms to stay in. Allyson talked to Martha and she insisted we save the money and stay with her. She loves to entertain and we were so grateful for the invitation. We decided we needed to get her something in order to thank her for her hospitality. Being the knitting fiend that I am, I decided to whip her up a
blanket like I have made for my mom, niece, and sisters.
Of course being the procrastinator that I am, I waited until this week to even start it (ok I started it yesterday). It is a super quick knit, just multiple rows of Stockinette Stitch on size 50 needles, but with homework, housework, babies, and packing, my time is limited this week. Anyway, I finished the blanket this morning and it turned out better than expected. The colors are amazing and would fit in with my style. I chose the colors, with Allyson's help, to match Martha's living room decor. I chose a cream, chocolate brown, and dark blueish teal. I made the fringe brown to make the blanket look a little richer. Now let's just hope she likes it as much as I do.
