3 Year Anniversary

Adam and I have been homeowners for 3 years now as of today! We were only dating when he bought our home. We have celebrated so many firsts here; our first Christmas, our first Valentine's day, our first (and second) child, our first anniversary.

This house is where our relationship has grown, been tested, and strengthened. We have had to work together the fix things that have gone wrong or just changing them. We have spent nights listening to the rain, the kids laughter, the dogs playing, and sometimes the silence. Our family was established here and has continued to grow. It will be a sad day when we leave this house.

When we moved into this house, we had so many things to fix. I like the idea of a project house when a couple starts out because then the two people can work together to get the house looking its best. Fixing a home is stressful, time consuming, and a time for bonding. I have enjoyed our journey so far. We replaced the carpet in our living room, painted every room in the house at least once, replaced all the windows, and replaced flooring in the kitchen.

We still have some more to do. I talked about fixing our "spare" room first, which is what we are working on. I textured the ceiling this past Monday and spent the last 2 days tearing up the flooring (or really the sub flooring). We are working on laying hardwood floors today.  I will share pictures of the completed room. For now, just the progress of the sub flooring being ripped up.
