It has been over a week since I have last updated this blog, which has been terrible of me. Especially seeing as I have had tons of things going on this past week. One of which is babysitting. This seems like an easy job, but let me assure you, it is not. I have four little ones all within 12 months of each other. They are all at the age where everything is a mystery they must figure out. Even mysterious magazines or what's in this laundry basket. Mine being the worst at this, and we are at THEIR house.

Demolition Derby!
We have moved from our bedroom to our kitchen, which if you can recall needs help. With much protest, Adam started taking out the bulk head that was above our old cabinets. It made the kitchen look smaller, older, and stuffy.

WIP Dog Sweater #1
I got an order last week for 2 custom dog sweaters. I started knitting the first one using the same striping I used in the sweaters I sent to Brooklyn Farmacy and Soda Fountain in Brooklyn, New York last year.

Holla Knits Knit-along Week 4
Week number 5 of the knit-along started on Monday. However, with the overwhelming amount of orders I have this week, I have put both my knit-along sweaters on the back burner. That being said, I made some great progress on BOTH my sweaters this past week.

Storks and Hammocks
I recently received an order for a baby hammock and stork pouch (to add to the numerous other orders I have to complete). When I say recently, I mean the Queen of Procrastination didn't even have time to procrastinate recently. The order was placed on Saturday and I told her I would mail them both out on Tuesday.

Hey! Your Progress is Showing!
We have made MAJOR strides in the home makeover we have been doing. I finished the flooring in our bedroom. I tore it up 3 times before I was happy with how it looked. Thank God it was easy to do. We moved our stuff out of Ryenn's room and into our own room (minus the dresser because we are ordering a new one next week). We spent our first night in there last night and it was great being able to pillow talk again without fear of waking our child.

FO Hooded Newborn Cocoon
I got an order for a hooded baby cocoon last week for a newborn. I, the queen of procrastination, waited until yesterday to even BUY the yarn. I went to get the yarn at about 4pm and started knitting it up as soon as I fed, bathed, and put the babies to bed.

FO Modeling Photo Shoot
I was super excited to get the chance to model in the Fall/Winter issue of Holla Knits. It was great to work with Lily, Susan, and Allyson. It was a blast hanging out with them. And of course, what girl doesn't like to try on different outfits! The launch of this issue was on Monday and I must say it is packed with so many great patterns (one of which I got to test knit). I thought I would share some of the pictures we had, as well as show of the talent of these designers.

FO New Girl
The Fall/Winter 2012 issue of Holla Knits launched yesterday. Seeing as Allyson is my sister, I am lucky enough to see everything while it's "in the works." I also get to test knit Allyson's designs. The New Girl was my third test knit for Holla Knits.

Holla Knits Knit-along Week 3
Heading into week four for the Holla Knits knit-along, I am WAY ahead of schedule. This is mostly because I want to finish both of my sweaters on time. It also has something to do with the fact that I am modifying the pattern by adding sleeves of some sort to both tank tops.

Two Boyfriends with Split Personalities
Allyson, knitting pattern guru, designed a cardigan pattern a few years back that I have already knit a few times. The second thing I ever knit was this pattern during one of her knit-alongs. I joined the knit-along two weeks late with my first version and then joined two weeks after that (so four weeks in) with my second version. That's two sweaters in less than eight weeks.

3 Year Anniversary
Adam and I have been homeowners for 3 years now as of today! We were only dating when he bought our home. We have celebrated so many firsts here; our first Christmas, our first Valentine's day, our first (and second) child, our first anniversary.

Crossing Things off Pre-Pregnancy List!
When my husband and I get pregnant next, there are tons of things I want to have done first. One of the biggest things is to get into a bigger house. We are currently in a 3 bedroom house that has one of those rooms torn apart. I won't complain about lack of space because we don't have a mortgage or rent. We are among the few people in this world that thankfully own our house outright thanks to my husband's...uh.....Dutchness (much nicer than saying he is cheap).

Holla Knits Knit-along Week 2: part 2
I told you that I was being ambitious with this knit-along and attempting to finish 2 sweaters in 8 weeks. So far, I am ahead of schedule. I actually think I may finish this one this week. I am also debating on whether or not I want to make it a tank top.
I don't really wear tank tops too often and I am leaning more towards a short sleeve sweater. I couldn't find another set of size needles around my house or in the stores, so I picked up a size 6. I decided to knit this sweater in the smallest size (29in) in order to make up for the size difference.

I also chose another Knit Picks Comfy Fingering weight yarn in Semolina. I am also going to attempt a yoke sweater. I LOVE the way this looks. I will just have to hone in my math skills to figure out what will be best for the stitch counts for this. I guess we will see.

Holla Knits Knit-along Week 2: part 1
I haven't mentioned yet that I am participating in a knit-along for Holla Knits. We are knitting Emma Wolford's pattern, the Holla Back Tank. I am still debating on whether I actually want to knit this as a tank top.

The Rookie and her Love for the Patriots
My husband has been begging me to play Fantasy Football since we met. In my past experience with it, it was definitely ridiculous and caused more problems than needed. Well this year, I gave in and decided why not. Our "draft" was this past Saturday and going into the draft I felt a little overwhelmed. After looking at a list of the players, I felt relieved that I knew quite a few of the names and how they play. This made the anxiety of having an awful team go away. Yes the hubby helped me study a bit before hand, but let me pick my players based on what I wanted. And yes I preferred a team stacked with my favorites; Patriots!

Romper to T-shirt in 10 Minutes
For the second half of our family pictures, I really wanted Nolan to have a different shirt than a plain white polo t-shirt. I was also too cheap to buy him a new t-shirt just for pictures, seeing as he has so many clothes. Instead, I decided to alter a romper he had that didn't quite fit anymore.
